We are searching for motivated and enthusiastic Fraud Detection/Prevention Associates to join our Financial Crimes team. This is an opportunity is a great introduction into the world of Financial Crimes offering;

You will play a vital role in the front line of defense against fraudulent activity. You will be responsible for all aspects of reviews relating to account openings, fraudulent referrals, and suspicious transactional activity. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with management, making and implementing decisions and objectives that drive business objectives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Conducting reviews and inquiries on suspicious accounts for fraudulent activity
  • Investigating suspicious transactions through inbound/outbound calls and taking appropriate action dependant on the outcome
  • Assisting in the development, maintenance, and implementation of policies/procedures to detect and prevent fraudulent activity
  • Compiling data from reviews, alerts and suspicious activity and contacting correct departments for further investigation
  • Exercise exceptional communication skills to optimize each contact with customers, departments and external vendors/banks

Requirements:

  • 1+ years’ experience in the banking, financial services, or related industry
  • Knowledge of check, ACH, wire, debit/credit card and other payment channels operating rules
  • Understanding of bank operations, industry trends and best practices as well as federal and state banking
  • Excellent project management, organizational and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of electronic crimes relating to card fraud and theft of credentials
