GLS is seeking a results-oriented, analytics and ops process leader to help drive our growth as Head of Originations Operations Analytics. The role will report to the Chief Credit Risk and Analytics Officer and operate from our Greenville, SC offices.

What does it mean to lead Originations Operations Analytics?
As Head of Originations Operations Analytics (OOA), you are a highly analytical yet practical and collaborative thought leader partnering with Operations, Product, and Credit Risk teams to discover high-value analytic insights and drive operational efficiencies, process improvements, and deeper effectiveness in Sales, Buying, and Funding.

You care deeply about:

  • Dealer-customer and consumer experience and resulting in positive contributions to GLS volume, profitability, and brand. (“How can we make GLS the dealer’s preferred lender?”)
  • GLS ops employee experience and ways of doing work. (“How can we make our daily operational work easier and more effective?”)

Your daily work activities include leading analytic efforts for a host of operational settings:

  • Underwriting/buying/funding/fulfillment workflows, dealer communication, fraud, incentives, sales and buying CRM, territory optimization
  • Fulfillment, digital contracting, contract remit, contract data entry process/outsourcing, data and image capture
  • Capacity and resource planning, contact strategies, queue management, development of ops specialization roles, performance scorecard development, forecasts

Analytic efforts include:

  • Leading comprehensive reporting and analytics strategy including data warehouse and reporting needs; establish and guide the development of key metrics, reports, dashboards; manage analysts producing ad hoc and interim reports while shaping requirements for IT report delivery; utilize data and reports and metrics to monitor and improve the business
  • Identify ops process improvement opportunities, shape solutions, develop business cases and IT project requirements

Your past experiences include:

  • 4+ years hands-on experience solving credit risk, loan-level pricing, or process design problems in a real-world setting involving a daily flow of thousands of applications submitted for loan approve/decline/review, structuring/pricing, information-flow between customers/agents/dealers, qualification/verification activities, fulfillment, and on-boarding of customers
  • Analytics activities producing forecasts, key insights, dashboard and reports and tools
  • Key initiative shaping, project proposals, project oversight, prioritization, planning, tracking and delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to direct and manage work in an effective manner, but willingness and capability to perform autonomously
  • Hire, train and develop, performance-manage, retain, promote junior analysts

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires being able to sit for 8 hours a day
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing

Schedule:

This position is full-time, requiring minimal schedule flexibility
